Non-food shopping can be done in many retail shops located in the downtown core. The downtown core is a large area sandwiched between Uganda Road to the west, Arusha Street to the east, Barongo Road to the south, and the upcountry bus stand to the north. All shops are easily accessible from Jamhuri Road which runs north-south in the middle of the downtown core.
